And they're off

Well after a good round of leaving Dos/dinners/drinks etc etc the day of departure has finally arrived.

We had a lovely final few days in UK with a trip to the New Forest for the marathon (and half), and a good few days of my Ma's cooking to ensure we're well fed (before the cholera kicks in... ;-)

Just enjoyed tea and cake and now a bottle of real ale since it will be the last for a while. All this got us to wondering what we might miss about home. So we thought it would be interesting to make a list and then compare a few months in with what we actually miss; so here goes.

Things Rach thinks she'll miss:
- Radio 4 and 6 Music
- Real ale and British pubs
- Salad
- Coronation St
- Red wine
- Autumn (and cool weather!)

Things Tess thinks she'll miss:
- Terry (the cat)
- Wine
- Downton Abbey (she almost changed her mind about going when she realised a new series was starting!)
- The (infamous) South Manchester Reporter
- Cool weather

(Of course we will both miss family and friends also!)

So, let's see how accurate this is in a few weeks time...
